Athletics at St. Charles School
The St. Charles Athletics offers current 4th through 8th graders the opportunity to compete in Baseball, Volleyball, Basketball and Track & Field throughout the school year.
Structure for Baseball, Volleyball, and Basketball:
4th grade: Balanced teams. Score is kept in baseball and basketball. No playoffs.
5th - 8th grade: Divisional Structure (D1, D2, D3, D4). Teams are eligible for playoffs
Structure for Track:
4th grade: Not eligible
5th-8th grade: Includes both running and field events. Athletes are divided and assigned by event (sprint, distance, high jump, long jump, shot put); must make 3 of 5 meets and 2 practices a week for divisional and champioinship meets.
Peninsula Parish Sports League
The purpose of the PPSL is to foster a spirit of cooperation and friendly competition among the Catholic parishes/schools of San Mateo County. This program strives to enrich our students physically and socially by developing practices of good sportsmanship, encouraging participation, and building self-esteem in all participants.
